In January 1993, Czechoslovakia was split again into the Czech Republic and Slovakia, with the Skoda factories at Mlada Boleslav and Vrchlabi then receiving full accreditation to EU-approved standards after a large investment by Volkswagen in upgrading the facilities. Investment from the Volkswagen Group enabled a thorough overhaul of the Favorit. The new car, the Felicia, was launched in 1995; besides the familiar 1.3-litre engine, it had Volkswagen's 1.6 and 1.9 diesel units, and its performance was proven by a 1-2 win in its class at the Monte Carlo Rally. Stig Blomqvist also took second in the RAC Rally in 1996, despite the team's unfamiliarity with fuel injection systems; Pavel Janeba said that "my lasting memory of the Felicia was Michelin's people telling me Stig's times on the first day of the 1996 RAC Rally in the snow. I just could not believe how fast he must have been driving!" (Rally Sport).
Over 1.4 million Felicias - including the Fun pick-up, usually seen in yellow - were ultimately built between 1996 and 2001, but an even more important modern-day model for Skoda was signed off for production in 1995. Czech president Vaclav Havel opened the new production lines in 1996 for the latest Octavia, the first fully Volkswagen-developed Skoda, sharing components and engines with models including the Audi A4 and Volkswagen Golf, and an instant success. Since then, Skoda's progress is well-documented: the award-winning Fabia supermini (a version of the Volkswagen Polo/Seat Ibiza), the four-wheel drive Octavias, high-performance vRS models and the Superb large saloon have all been extensively reviewed and praised. The latest Fabia rally car has followed the Octavia to credible results in the World Rally Championships.
There have also been a few concept cars, too, hinting at the future: the Montreux luxury coupe (Geneva Motor Show 2001), its successor, the Superb-based Tudor (Geneva 2002) and then the Roomster (Frankfurt, 2003). The first two have indicated Skoda's styling direction, but now the latter, a proposal for a mini-MPV, has been confirmed for production towards the end of 2006.

Pick-up nabavi¹ za 2500Eura a prerada ti doðe jo¹ max.2000 a to je 3 puta jeftinije nego polovni fun.
